HOUSE REWIRING
Are you living with old VIR Rubber cabling hidden behind your switchboard?
Many homes built between 1920 – 1970 were wired with rubber ( VIR ) cabling. This old cable breaks down in insulation and also deteriorates the longer it is left inside your home. Ultimately this needs to be replaced with new Tough Plastic Shealth ( TPS ) to comply with current NZ regulations and standards.
In most situations all of these cables can be removed and upgraded without totally turning your home upside down.
